School Based Sanitation Programme
In Cambodia, 20% of primary schools do not have toilets. UNICEF is working in partnership with the non-governmental organization, Borda, to provide new water and sanitation facilities in schools.
Recently, we visited Wat Krous Primary School and Samroung Kandal Primary School in Phnom Penh. Both schools will benefit from new accessible toilets, urinals and a wastewater treatment system. Here are some pictures of the work being carried out by the ‘School Based Sanitation programme’.
